The Bellarmine Knights’ transition to NCAA Division I will give student athletes the opportunity to showcase their abilities against the strongest collegiate competition in the nation on a larger stage.
It also will mean more rigorous physical demands as the Knights’ 22 athletic teams go up against more skilled and imposing opponents.
At workouts, practices and competitions, more will be needed from the athletic trainers, orthopedists, neurologists, sports psychologists and other providers who help keep athletes healthy, recover when injured and perform at their best.
Norton Sports Health
You don’t need to be an elite athlete to get elite care. Norton Sports Health is the official sports health provider for Bellarmine Athletics.
“Being able to compete at the highest level means having access to the highest quality sports health care,” said Robin G. Curry, M.D., orthopedic sports medicine specialist with Norton Orthopedic Institute. “We work closely with the certified athletic trainers to provide comprehensive medical and orthopedic care so we can get athletes back on the field and keep them playing at the top of their game.”
As the official sports health provider for Bellarmine University, Norton Sports Health provides training expertise and medical guidance to student athletes.
The Norton Healthcare relationship with Bellarmine has expanded beyond athletics. Norton Healthcare provides a health and wellness clinic for staff and students, new learning space for the school’s Institute of Advanced Analytics and continued support for nursing education.
